Fear Forest Returns to Oshawa With a New Indoor Haunted Attraction

Fear Forest returns to Oshawa for its fifth season with a major transformation. Previously known for its outdoor Haunted Forest Trail, the Halloween attraction has moved indoors for 2026.

Running on select nights from October 3 to 30, 2026, the new experience combines live scare actors, animatronics, special effects and interactive challenges. Visitors should prepare for more than 20 minutes of darkness, startling encounters and unexpected obstacles.

The attraction begins before guests even step inside. Fear Forest warns that its monsters may be waiting in the parking lot, allowing the scares to begin as soon as visitors arrive.

A New Indoor Fear Forest Experience

Moving indoors gives the production greater control over lighting, sound and atmosphere. Guests will enter a dark environment filled with theatrical fog, strobe lights, loud sound effects and hidden performers.

Professional scare actors appear throughout the experience. Meanwhile, more than 30 animatronics and special-effects sequences add movement and surprises around each corner.

The indoor format means the monsters no longer need to wait for darkness or favourable weather. However, guests should still expect an intense experience designed to keep them alert from beginning to end.

Crawl, Solve and Escape

Fear Forest is more than a traditional haunted walkthrough. The 2026 attraction incorporates interactive elements that require visitors to participate in the experience.

One of the featured challenges is a 24-foot crawl tunnel. Guests will also encounter a miniature escape room where they must solve clues before continuing toward the exit.

These additions introduce physical and puzzle-based elements alongside the live scares. The result is a Halloween attraction that combines a haunted house, obstacle experience and escape challenge.

Who Should Attend Fear Forest?

Fear Forest is recommended for guests 10 years of age and older. However, the attraction includes frightening scenes, darkness, loud noises, fog, strobe lighting, actors and sudden scares. Parents should consider each child’s comfort level before booking.

Guests aged 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Visitors who arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused admission without a refund.

Since the experience includes a crawl tunnel and other physical elements, anyone with mobility concerns should contact the attraction before purchasing tickets.

Fear Forest 2026 Ticket Prices

Fear Forest uses timed admission and limits the number of guests entering during each period. Advance reservations are recommended, particularly as Halloween approaches.

• Regular timed admission: $19.99 plus tax when purchased from October 1–30
• Walk-in admission: $24.99 plus tax, subject to availability

Supporting a Children’s Charity

Fear Forest also supports Spirit of Children, a charitable programme connected with Spirit Halloween. Guest donations collected at the attraction will support SickKids, The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Visitors who make a financial donation at the gate will also be entered into the Spirit of Children donation contest.
