Step Forward for Change at the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk

Step Forward for Change at the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk 2026

September 12 – 13, 2026
Various Ontario Locations

Every September, communities across Ontario come together for a powerful cause: the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk. More than just a fundraising event, SuperWalk is a celebration of resilience, compassion, and collective action. Participants of all ages lace up their shoes to support those living with Parkinson’s disease while helping to fund vital research, advocacy, and support programmes.

Walking with Purpose

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, balance, and coordination. For the more than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s, daily life can present significant challenges. Events like the SuperWalk provide not only financial support but also a sense of unity and encouragement for individuals and families navigating the condition.

Each walk is community-driven, bringing together volunteers, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and supporters. Whether you walk in honour of a loved one or simply want to make a difference, every step contributes to improved resources and a brighter future for those affected.

A Province-Wide Movement

This SuperWalk spans multiple cities, making it easy for Ontarians to participate locally while contributing to a national impact. Each location offers its own welcoming atmosphere, often featuring light refreshments, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with others in the Parkinson’s community.

How You Can Get Involved

Getting involved is simple and meaningful. Participants can register individually or as part of a team, set fundraising goals, and invite friends and family to support their efforts. Many walkers personalise their experience by dedicating their participation to someone affected by Parkinson’s, adding a deeply personal connection to the day.

Even if you’re unable to attend in person, donations and virtual participation options ensure that everyone can contribute. Local businesses and sponsors also play a key role in amplifying the impact of each event.

Making Every Step Count

The Parkinson Canada SuperWalk is a reminder that small actions can lead to meaningful change. With every step taken and every dollar raised, participants help improve the quality of life for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today—and bring us closer to a future without the disease.
