Spooktacular Light Show: A Halloween Wonderland in Ajax

The Spooktacular Light Show returns to Ajax for its fourth year with a colourful Halloween experience designed for the entire family. Running on select nights from October 9–31, 2026, the drive-through attraction combines illuminated characters, animated displays and synchronized music.

Visitors remain inside their vehicles while travelling along a two-kilometre route filled with more than two million lights. The experience lasts approximately 30 minutes and offers a friendly alternative to traditional haunted houses and intense Halloween attractions.

Spooktacular Light Show 2026 Dates

The attraction will operate on the following evenings:

• October 9–12, 2026
• October 16–18, 2026
• October 22–25, 2026
• October 28–31, 2026

Admission is arranged through timed entry periods, beginning at 7:15 p.m. Additional evening time slots are available, with later admission offered on selected Fridays and Saturdays.

Guests should arrive within the period shown on their tickets. Visitors arriving more than 10 minutes late may be required to purchase another admission.

A Halloween World Made From Light

The route features a mix of two-dimensional and three-dimensional displays. Glowing pumpkins, playful ghosts and towering Halloween characters create a festive environment without relying on graphic or frightening imagery.

One of the event’s most popular features is the pumpkin-filled drive-through tunnel. Lights surround each vehicle as families travel through the illuminated passage.

Music is transmitted through a designated FM radio station. The soundtrack is synchronized with the displays, allowing the lights and animated scenes to move in time with the music.

Trick-or-Treating and Family Photos

Although most of the experience takes place inside the vehicle, Spooktacular includes a supervised trick-or-treat stop. Families may briefly leave their cars at this designated location.

Children can collect candy and families can take a seasonal photograph before continuing through the attraction. Staff members will manage the area and help keep vehicles moving safely.

The show is suitable for all ages. Its focus is on colourful Halloween fun rather than horror, making it a welcoming option for younger children and visitors who prefer lighthearted seasonal entertainment.

Visitor Guidelines

Drivers must travel through the route at approximately five to eight kilometres per hour. Headlights should remain on low beam, while high beams and hazard lights should not be used unless assistance is required.

Smoking, alcohol and drones are prohibited. Pets may attend but must remain inside the vehicle.

The attraction generally operates in most weather conditions. If severe weather forces a cancellation, ticket holders will be contacted by email.

The light displays may also include flashing or strobe effects. Visitors with photosensitive epilepsy or related sensitivities should use discretion.

Tickets Must Be Reserved by Time

Tickets are priced per vehicle, allowing families or small groups to experience the show together. Online reservations provide a QR code that can be displayed on a mobile device upon arrival.

Timed entry helps manage traffic and prevents large crowds from gathering along the route. Since popular dates may sell out, visitors should reserve early, particularly for the final weekend leading into Halloween.
