Carassauga Festival of Cultures has become an important annual 3-day event in Mississauga’s calendar and its popularity has steadily increased in recent years.  As the largest multicultural festival in Canada, taking place at the end of May each year, it celebrates the diversity of our city through entertainment, food and culture.  Happening May 24-26, 2024 showcasing a tremendous lineup of performances from local cultural groups and national recording artists. Featuring 5 shows, various dance and musical performances, and food trucks on site. What better way to showcase our cultures than by celebrating with food and entertainment?

FESTIVAL FEATURES

  • Entertainment – non-stop shows on 13 stages.
  • Food – over 50 ethnic food vendors available.
  • Toonie Taste – small taster plates will be offered at Pavilion locations for only a Toonie.
  • Audience participation – learn about the various cultures through artisan displays, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations, dance lessons, and photo ops.
  • Kids Zone – fun place for families with kids to enjoy various crafts, games and FREE giveaways.
  • FREE shuttle service during festival hours.

NEW THIS YEAR:

  • On-Board Tour Guides – offering history and cultural information about the City while travelling on our shuttle buses.
  • Accessibility – new improvements towards a safer and more enjoyable festival experience.
  • Information/Welcome Booths – volunteers will be available to provide information on locations, busing schedules, entertainment activities and more.
  • New Pavilion Locations – we have added 2 additional community centers this year.

YOUR ADMISSION IS A CARASSAUGA PASSPORT

Enjoy delicious food and amazing performances from cultures around the world – all at one amazing festival this Spring.

A passport entitles the visitor to unlimited visits to all the Cultural Pavilions with access to live performances, various foods and kids activities throughout the Festival weekend. Children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an Adult Passport holder.  The passport also allows you FREE Ridership on all MiWay regularly scheduled bus routes and on special Carassauga buses connecting all the locations during the Festival’s operating hours.

LOCATIONS

Pavilions are located in various cultural and recreation centres in Mississauga, giving visitors the opportunity to “travel the world” without leaving the city.  Once inside a Pavilion, visitors are surrounded by the sights, sounds, and tastes of the country being represented. Stay tuned as the 2023 locations and the cultural lineup is confirmed and finalized.
