September 18 – October 4, 2026
Various locations across Vaughan

Each autumn, communities across Ontario come alive with creativity during Culture Days, and in 2026, Vaughan takes centre stage. Running from September 18, 2026 to October 4, 2026, Vaughan Culture Days invites residents and visitors alike to explore the city through art, music, heritage, dance and literature—entirely free of charge.

This year is especially meaningful, as the City of Vaughan has been selected as an official Festival Hub for Ontario Culture Days. The designation highlights Vaughan’s growing cultural landscape and its ongoing commitment to inclusivity, creative expression and community connection. As a Festival Hub, Vaughan will showcase an expanded programme of experiences that reflect the city’s diverse voices and artistic traditions while also encouraging cultural tourism throughout the region.

With more than 50 free events and activities taking place at various locations across Vaughan, Culture Days 2026 offers something for every age and interest. From hands-on workshops and live performances to heritage experiences and literary events, the programme is designed to be welcoming, accessible and engaging. Whether you are discovering a new art form, reconnecting with local history, or supporting Vaughan’s creative community, Culture Days provides countless opportunities to participate.

The celebrations begin with an official kick-off and flag-raising event on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Vaughan City Hall. Taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the launch event will feature a lively mix of family-friendly activities, including arts and crafts stations, dance performances and outdoor experiences. The official flag-raising ceremony will occur from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with ASL interpretation available during the ceremony, reinforcing the city’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
