Toronto Taste Fuels Foodie Fantasies with Top Canadian Talent

June 12, 2022
Evergreen Brick Works, 550 Bayview Ave, Toronto

Toronto Taste presented by The Daniels Corporation welcomes the return of the city’s premier culinary event and largest prix fixe dinner on Sunday, June 12 at the historic Evergreen Brick Works. Fifty of the most celebrated culinary and cocktail experts will come together under one roof in support of Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue organization and a global thought leader on food loss and waste. Every ticket purchased will provide the equivalent of 600 meals to Canadian families experiencing hunger.

Hailed as the year’s best showcase of local culinary talent, the event is also a significant annual fundraiser for Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue charity. Funds raised through ticket sales help support their mission to feed people experiencing hunger in the Greater Toronto Area. This year’s Chef Challenge will include Executive Chef of Real Sports, Jamie Robb, founder and owner of Toronto-based restaurant, Nước Mắm, Chef Phil Nguyen, and Chef de Cuisine of La Palma, Chef Sam Medeiros. Each Chef comes with their own unique background and expertise, which is sure to create a spicy Chef Challenge in the kitchen.

Since 1991, Toronto Taste has raised over $13 million in support of Second Harvest’s food rescue program. Presented by The Daniels Corporation, the event has enabled the organization to rescue enough fresh, surplus food to support hundreds of social service agencies across the GTA with more than 31 million meals for children, adults, and seniors experiencing hunger in our city. This year, the goal is to raise enough funds to provide 1.9 million meals.
