Port Colborne Hosts Easter Egg Hunt and Family Activities at Vale
April 4, 2026
Vale Health and Wellness Centre, 550 Elizabeth St, Port Colborne
Port Colborne is gearing up for its annual Easter Egg Hunt and a day of festive family activities at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre. This much-anticipated spring event will take place on April 4, 2026, starting early in the morning with the Easter Bunny’s grand arrival by tugboat along West Street near the Pilot House. The celebration pays homage to the city’s waterfront heritage and offers fun for all ages.
Following the Bunny’s arrival at approximately 9:00 a.m., families are encouraged to head over to the Vale Health & Wellness Centre at 550 Elizabeth Street for a full schedule of activities running from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. The classic Egg Hunt begins at 10:00 a.m., with eggs hidden throughout designated areas while supplies last. Children are asked to bring their own baskets to collect their discoveries.
In addition to the egg hunt, a variety of Easter-themed activities will keep families entertained throughout the day. From Eggciting Easter Crafts in partnership with the Port Colborne Public Library to Egg Decorating with Dena, there are creative stations that encourage artistic fun for all ages. Face painting, a colouring station and a photobooth also provide opportunities for memorable moments and colourful keepsakes.
Young visitors can enjoy free bouncer and gym activities presented by the YMCA of Niagara and hands-on science fun with Mad Science® FUNStations from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. For those seeking seasonal recreation, the Vale Centre will offer a free community skate from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and free swimming from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., both also supported by the YMCA.
Port Colborne encourages residents and visitors to make a day of it, enjoying not only the Easter egg hunt but the full range of activities designed to celebrate community and seasonal spirit. Participants are reminded that in the event of poor weather on the day of the hunt, the Easter Egg Hunt may be cancelled due to space restrictions from concurrent activities at the centre.
Whether it’s hunting for eggs, gliding on ice, splashing in the pool, or crafting Easter keepsakes, this event invites families to share in the joy of the season and make lasting memories together.
