Vaughan is set to welcome the return of its culinary event with Vaughan Flavours Summer Edition, running from July 24 – August 7, 2026. This exciting dining experience invites both residents and visitors to savour delicious meals at some of Vaughan’s most popular restaurants. Participating venues across the city will offer three-course prix fixe menus across six price point categories, ranging from $20/$25 to $55/$75, making it accessible for all budgets.

Why was Vaughan Flavours created?

Vaughan Flavours was designed to support the local culinary and restaurant economy during the off-season while highlighting the city’s diverse food landscape. With over 750 dining and drinking establishments, Vaughan boasts a vibrant restaurant scene that enriches local neighbourhoods and offers a variety of cuisines, from classic comfort foods to international and innovative dishes.

The initiative is also part of the City’s efforts to further support local businesses in response to sweeping U.S. tariffs. It originated from a Member’s Resolution introduced by Mayor Steven Del Duca and Ward 2 Councillor Adriano Volpentesta, directing staff to develop a pilot program encouraging residents and visitors to dine in Vaughan.

In the early months in 2025, Vaughan became the first municipality in Ontario to ratify a policy banning U.S. suppliers. In April, the City began offering businesses free ‘Vaughan Strong. Support Canadian’ welcome packages, filled with materials to help identify local and Canadian-made goods in stores, removing the guessing game for shoppers at the checkout counter.
