From mid-June through early August, Toronto pulses with soca rhythms, dazzling masquerade costumes, and the unmistakable energy of Carnival. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a returning reveller, the 2026 edition promises a dynamic calendar filled with both tradition and innovation.

Held at Scarborough Town Centre, the Carnival begins with an energetic kickoff featuring live entertainment, cultural showcases, and a preview of the season’s costumes. Malvern Community Centre to Neilson Park
From Malvern Community Centre to Neilson Park, children parade through the streets in colourful, handcrafted costumes. This vibrant procession showcases community pride, unity, and the enduring spirit of Caribbean culture.

OCPA Calypso Showcase – July 25, 2026 |5:30 PM (Competition 6:30 PM)

Dedicated to the storytelling tradition of calypso, this lively competition features performers vying for the Calypso Monarch title. Through wit, rhythm, and melody, artists share stories that reflect the social and cultural heartbeat of the Caribbean.

At Lamport Stadium, elaborate, larger-than-life costumes are unveiled in a dramatic competition. This visually stunning spectacle highlights the artistry, creativity, and craftsmanship behind Carnival’s most iconic designs.

Also at Lamport Stadium, this steelpan competition brings the sounds of Trinidad and Tobago to life. Talented orchestras perform under the night sky, delivering an electrifying musical experience rooted in tradition.
