Step Into the Darkness at Casa Loma
Toronto’s castle becomes considerably darker this October as Legends of Horror returns to Casa Loma for another season of immersive Halloween entertainment. The after-dark experience sends visitors on a self-guided journey through approximately two kilometres of atmospheric outdoor sets, underground tunnels, hidden chambers and areas of the castle rarely open to the public.
Elaborate theatrical environments, live performers, special effects and larger-than-life characters turn the historic landmark into one of Toronto’s signature Halloween attractions. Rather than watching the action from a theatre seat, visitors become part of the experience. Guests move at their own pace through the attraction, with each setting revealing another chapter of the Halloween journey.
The experience begins in Casa Loma’s lower gardens before continuing through outdoor environments, tunnels and some of the castle’s darker hidden spaces. More than an hour of theatrical scenes, lighting, sound and special effects builds towards a dramatic finale: a 3D projection-mapping display across Casa Loma’s exterior.
A Midway Break at the Captain Morgan Bar
There is even a chance to come up for air. Around the halfway point, visitors can stop at the Captain Morgan Bar for a drink and music from a live DJ before heading back into the darkness and continuing the experience.
Food and beverages are available for purchase during the event. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
Family Hours Offer a Less Frightening Experience
Families with younger children don’t necessarily have to miss out. Special Family Hours run from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on selected dates. There are no live actors or characters during these sessions, although the mechanical effects and theatrical lighting remain active.
Family Hours are scheduled for October 3–4, 10–11, 16–18, 23–25 and 30–31, 2026.
Tickets are $45 online or $50 on-site. Parental discretion is still advised.
Standard Hours Turn Up the Scares
For the complete Legends of Horror experience, Standard Hours begin at 7:00 p.m. and continue late.

Children ages 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Online tickets are date- and time-specific, while on-site admission is subject to capacity.
VIP Premium Package
Visitors looking to make more of the evening can choose a VIP Premium Package for two. The package includes two Legends of Horror admission tickets, priority line access and two beverage vouchers.
October 3–15: $150 per package
October 16–31: $200 per package
VIP Premium Packages are available during Standard Hours only and are limited to 10 packages per 30-minute time slot.
New BlueBlood VIP Experience
Another premium option turns the attraction into a full evening at Casa Loma. The BlueBlood VIP Experience begins with a prix fixe dinner at BlueBlood Steakhouse before guests receive priority VIP access to Legends of Horror.
It combines dinner inside the castle with the full two-kilometre Halloween experience afterwards, making it an option for couples or groups looking for more than a traditional haunted attraction.

Legends of Horror is closed October 5–6 and October 12–13, 2026. There are also no Family Hours October 7–9, 14–15, 19–22 or 26–29.
Before You Go
This is a physically demanding Halloween attraction involving significant walking, stairs, uneven terrain and underground spaces. Visitors can also expect intense audio, low visibility, strobe lighting, fog, special effects and sudden actions.
The event operates rain or shine except when severe weather creates unsafe conditions. Strollers are not permitted.
Paid parking is available at nearby George Brown College, which is closer to the Legends of Horror entrance. Limited paid parking is also available at Casa Loma.
Halloween After Dark at Toronto’s Castle
Few Toronto landmarks provide a Halloween setting quite like Casa Loma. Its gardens, stone walls, underground tunnels and castle architecture give Legends of Horror an atmosphere that would be difficult to recreate in a conventional haunted house.
Add theatrical sets, live characters, special effects and a projection-mapped castle finale, and the familiar Toronto landmark becomes an entirely different destination after sunset.
Advance tickets are recommended, particularly as Halloween approaches.
