SCC Organizers is pleased to open the 2022 Silver Salmon Challenge to individuals or family groups from June 18th to August 27th.

10 Weeks | Win up to $7,500 per week

10 Weekly Challenges Breakdown

  • The (10) ten weeks (Challenges) begin at 12:01 a.m. June 18 and end at 8 p.m. on August 27th.
  • Each week (challenge) closes on Fridays at 8 p.m. with the exception of Challenge week (10) ten, the week of August 2 week is (8) eight days ending on Saturday, August 27 at 8 p.m.
  • Fish may only be weighed in between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily.
  • Time frames are always subject to the hours of operation of the weigh station operators. In the event, a weigh station changes their hours of operation through no fault of the Silver Salmon Challenge then the fish may be weighed in during such hours the weigh stations are open.

All Fishing Must Take Place in Ontario

  • Harbors, and rivers as specifically permitted and, must be in waters located in the Province of Ontario.
  • River fishing is restricted to:
    • The Credit River from the lake to the GO train bridge north of Lakeshore Road;
    • Oakville Harbor from the lake to Highway 2;
    • Bronte Creek from the lake to Highway 2;
    • Humber river from lake to Highway 2;
    • Jordan Harbor (open);
    • Port Dalhousie (open); and
    • The Niagara River (open);
    • 200 yards up-river from pier heads of river mouth for any other river not stated in this list.

COVID-19 Safety Measures Protocols

If Covid-related shutdowns occur prior to the Silver Salmon Challenge commencing, the SCC Organizers’ at their sole discretion may reimburse ticket holders where appropriate. If Covid-related shutdowns occur during the event, we will use a “per week” prorated format that will enable the event to crown winners based on weeks fished. The weeks not fished will be refunded based on a prorated format as well. The Silver Salmon Challenge will not be held responsible for any Covid-related illnesses throughout the event. It is the participants’ responsibility to follow government-mandated covid-19 safety protocols.
