MacKids Walk & Wheel returns on June 6, 2026, welcoming participants to the Mona Campbell Track at McMaster University in Hamilton at 9:00 a.m. This much-anticipated community gathering brings together families, students, healthcare professionals and supporters to raise funds for children’s healthcare services across the region.

Organised in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital and Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre programs, the event highlights the power of collective action in improving healthcare outcomes for children and young people. Every participant contributes to a shared goal of strengthening pediatric care and supporting families who rely on specialised medical services.

Walking, Wheeling and Moving Together

Designed as an inclusive, family-friendly experience, MacKids Walk & Wheel encourages participants of all ages and abilities to take part in whatever way suits them best. Whether walking, jogging, pushing strollers or using mobility aids, everyone is welcome on the track.

The event promotes physical activity in a relaxed and supportive environment, making it both a fundraiser and a celebration of healthy living. Supporting Vital Children’s Health Services

Funds raised through MacKids Walk & Wheel play an important role in supporting the work of McMaster Children’s Hospital and the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre. These institutions provide critical services including emergency pediatric care, rehabilitation therapy, mental health support and specialised treatment for complex conditions.

Community fundraising helps ensure that children across Hamilton and surrounding areas have access to high-quality care close to home. The event serves as a reminder of how local participation can directly improve health services and patient experiences.

A Celebration of Community Spirit

Beyond fundraising, MacKids Walk & Wheel is a celebration of community connection. The atmosphere at the Mona Campbell Track is typically filled with energy, encouragement and shared enthusiasm as participants complete laps in support of a meaningful cause.

Families enjoy a welcoming environment where children can take part safely, and supporters can engage with others who share a commitment to improving children’s health.
