Life-Size LEGO 1950s Cadillac Rolls Into the Canadian International AutoShow

February 13 – 22, 2026
Metro Toronto Convention Centre

A full-scale 1950s Cadillac made entirely of LEGO bricks is set to turn heads at the 2026 Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto. Built from an astonishing 418,556 bricks, including a record-breaking 123,426 pink pieces, the handcrafted replica will be on display from February 13 to 22, 2026.

Fresh from its appearance at the FORMULA 1® Las Vegas Grand Prix 2025, where it served as the “cool down car” transporting the top three drivers to the podium, this rolling brick masterpiece now makes its Canadian debut.

A Brick-Built Showstopper

Modelled after a pink Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special convertible, the vehicle stretches more than five metres in length, weighs over 2,100 kilograms and seats five passengers. Remarkably, it is fully driveable, capable of reaching speeds of up to 25 km/h thanks to a modern electric powertrain.

The ambitious project required nearly 4,000 hours of design and construction by a team of 17 master LEGO builders, designers and engineers. The finished creation mirrors the scale and weight of an original 1950s Cadillac, blending classic automotive styling with inventive brick engineering.

Working headlights, taillights, turn signals and hazard lights add to the realism, while authentic whitewall tyres and wire-style rims complete the vintage look. The model even features a functioning trunk with space for a spare tyre — the first life-size LEGO vehicle to include luggage storage.

Clever Details and Playful Touches

Beyond its impressive scale, the Cadillac is packed with imaginative details. Upscaled teacup elements cleverly form the wing mirrors, while gold pieces from LEGO NINJAGO® sets recreate the iconic Cadillac badges. Grey bricks replicate chrome accents, and a custom plexiglass windscreen enhances the polished finish. Neon-style underglow lighting pays tribute to its Las Vegas debut.

Inside, visitors will spot a retro-inspired steering wheel, a radio antenna fashioned from a lever element and even an operational LEGO key.

Family Fun at the AutoShow

The LEGO display will be complemented by a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre retail store, a dedicated Kids Play Zone and additional LEGO builds, offering hands-on fun for families attending the show.

AutoShow organisers expect the vibrant pink Cadillac to become one of the most photographed exhibits of 2026. While it may not be the fastest vehicle on the floor, it promises to be one of the most memorable attractions at this year’s event.
