Barrie Waterfront
Kempenfest (Barrie) is the largest outdoor arts festival in North America. Featuring numerous vendors including live music, a midway, different food vendors, juried artisans, one of the kind purchases that will keep you coming back.
Kempenfest is for people of all ages. There is something for everyone and located on 2kms of Barrie’s beautiful waterfront. Kempenfest is Barrie’s signature summer event that brings thousands of visitors to our region annually to enjoy a day on the waterfront it is a summer tradition.
Our Amazing Stages
- RBC STAGE
Four days of live music kicking off on Friday night and keeping the crowd dancing all weekend. Enjoy free concerts during the day and ticketed events at night. Multiple genres of music over four - YOUTH STAGE
The Youth Village is fun for all ages. Open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The vibe in this area is like no other. You do not want to miss your visit here. Admission is free.
Something for the whole family

Live music all weekend long. Local bands and DJs take the stage to keep you dancing all weekend long. Bringing the community together through music. - Interactive Games
Fun games for everyone of all ages. This area has face painters, shade, yoga in the morning, learn to dance, learn to sing, and more. You will want to keep coming back all weekend long. - Food Trucks
A variety of food vendors to choose from, with delicious and interesting foods. - Youth Focused Vendors
The vendors in the Youth Village are all interactive. You won’t want to miss the free arts and crafts provided by the MacLaren Art Centre.
