Joseph Brant Museum, Burlington

Music, history, and stunning waterfront views come together this summer as Music from the Rooftop returns to Joseph Brant Museum in Burlington. Running on select evenings from July 10 to August 21, 2026, the popular concert series offers an intimate outdoor experience overlooking Burlington’s downtown waterfront while showcasing talented local musicians.

Hosted on the museum’s scenic Rooftop Terrace, the series combines live entertainment with cultural exploration. Consequently, guests can enjoy an evening that blends music, art, and community in one memorable setting.

Enjoy Live Music with a Spectacular View

Each event begins with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., giving visitors time to explore the museum before the live performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Concerts run until approximately 8:30 p.m., allowing audiences to relax as the sun sets over Lake Ontario.

Moreover, every ticket includes admission to the museum’s galleries. Visitors can browse the current special exhibition, eat make share: a taste of immigration, before heading upstairs for the evening’s performance.

The combination of live music and museum access creates a unique cultural outing that appeals to both music lovers and history enthusiasts.

Each artist brings a distinctive musical style, ensuring that every concert offers a fresh experience while celebrating the vibrant local music scene.

A Relaxed Summer Evening

The concerts are designed for audiences aged 12 years and older, creating a relaxed atmosphere for an evening of entertainment. Guests may also purchase beverages and light snacks from the museum’s gift shop before or during the event.

In addition, the Rooftop Terrace provides one of Burlington’s most picturesque settings for live music. With panoramic waterfront views and a welcoming atmosphere, it is an ideal place to spend a summer evening with family or friends.

If weather conditions become unfavourable, performances will move indoors to Joseph Brant Museum’s Lakefront/Shoreline Rooms, ensuring that the concerts proceed regardless of the forecast.

Plan Your Visit

Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and students. Admission includes the one-hour concert and access to the museum’s galleries.
