The induction ceremony will take place on September 13, 2026, at 10:45 a.m. in Memorial Park, Port Credit. The public is invited to attend and celebrate the achievements of these distinguished members of Canada’s music community.

According to Cliff Hunt, Chair of the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame, the 2026 inductees represent excellence in two important areas of the music industry. Once again, the organisation is recognising internationally respected Canadians for their outstanding achievements.

“Don Breithaupt is an Emmy Award-winning musician and composer, while Brian Murray is an industry builder, educator and musician,” said Hunt.

Together, their careers reflect artistic excellence and a lasting commitment to developing musical talent.

Recognising Mississauga’s Musical Heritage

Established in 2012 by the late Mississauga City Councillor Jim Tovey, the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame honours musicians and industry leaders with strong ties to the city. Each year, it celebrates those who have made significant contributions to the music industry.

Located in Memorial Park, the Walk of Fame features celebrated names including Oscar Peterson, Triumph, Ronnie Hawkins, Tommy Hunter, Denny Doherty, Jeff Healey, Phil X, Liberty Silver and Alessia Cara.

Now, the addition of Don Breithaupt and Brian Murray continues that proud tradition. Their induction recognises not only their remarkable achievements but also their lasting impact on Canada’s music community.
