Toronto audiences are invited to do the Time Warp once again this autumn as The Rocky Horror Picture Show Original Cast Spooktacular Tour arrives at Roy Thomson Hall on Monday, October 26, 2026. Presented by Roy Thomson Hall, the one-night-only event features original cast member Nell Campbell, who famously portrayed Columbia in the cult classic film. The screening begins at 8:00 p.m. and promises a lively evening of audience participation, live entertainment and nostalgic celebration.
More than 50 years after The Rocky Horror Picture Show first shocked and delighted audiences, the film remains one of the world’s most beloved cult movie experiences. Known for its outrageous costumes, camp humour and iconic musical numbers, the production continues to attract generations of devoted fans who embrace its interactive traditions and theatrical atmosphere.
A Cult Classic Returns to the Big Screen
The Toronto event will feature a screening of the film in a restored 4K presentation alongside a live shadow cast and audience participation. Fans are encouraged to dress in costume, sing along and fully immerse themselves in the chaotic and theatrical spirit that has defined Rocky Horror screenings for decades.
The evening will also include a costume contest, immersive after-party experiences and opportunities for fans to celebrate the film’s enduring legacy with fellow audience members. These interactive screenings have become legendary for transforming cinemas and theatres into energetic celebrations of music, performance and self-expression.
Originally released in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show starred Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter alongside Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Nell Campbell. The film blended science fiction, horror, comedy and musical theatre into a wildly unconventional production that gradually evolved into a global cultural phenomenon.
Featuring Original Cast Member Nell Campbell
A major highlight of the Toronto engagement is the appearance of Nell Campbell, the original Columbia from the film. Campbell became one of the production’s most memorable performers through her energetic dance sequences and charismatic screen presence. Her participation gives audiences the chance to experience the event alongside one of the movie’s original stars.
VIP Meet & Greet packages will also be available for fans hoping to meet Campbell in person. The package includes premium seating, a commemorative laminate, autograph opportunities and a personal photo session before the show. According to Roy Thomson Hall, the Meet & Greet event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
A Halloween Season Favourite
The arrival of The Rocky Horror Picture Show near Halloween makes it a fitting addition to Toronto’s autumn entertainment calendar. The production’s combination of horror parody, glam-rock music and outrageous theatricality has made it a perennial October favourite for audiences worldwide.
Roy Thomson Hall’s downtown setting provides an ideal venue for the immersive screening experience, allowing longtime fans and newcomers alike to celebrate one of cinema’s most enduring cult classics together. Tickets are expected to be in high demand for the special one-night event.
