Various Locations

Kidney Walk 2026 invites communities across Ontario to come together in support of kidney health through a series of in-person and virtual events. Organised by The Kidney Foundation of Canada, this annual initiative raises funds for research, patient support, and education while building awareness around kidney disease.

Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part, whether by joining a local walk or choosing to walk independently. The inclusive nature of the event ensures that everyone can contribute in a meaningful way.

In-Person and Virtual Participation

Kidney Walk offers flexibility with both community-based gatherings and a province-wide virtual option. The Ontario Virtual Walk, running from September 1–30, 2026, allows participants to “Walk Your Way,” choosing their own routes and pace while still being part of a collective effort.

Meanwhile, in-person events provide an opportunity to connect with others, celebrate milestones, and honour those affected by kidney disease. These gatherings often feature community activities, fundraising initiatives, and moments of recognition that highlight the impact of collective support.

Making an Impact

Funds raised through Kidney Walk directly support life-changing programmes, including patient services, advocacy efforts, and critical research initiatives. For many participants, the event is deeply personal, providing a chance to honour their own journeys or support friends and family members affected by kidney-related conditions.

Beyond fundraising, the walk fosters a strong sense of community. It brings together individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and volunteers who share a commitment to improving kidney health outcomes.

Join the Movement

Whether attending an in-person event or participating virtually, Kidney Walk 2026 offers a meaningful way to get involved. With every step, participants help drive progress in research, enhance patient support systems, and raise awareness across Ontario.

By coming together through this province-wide initiative, communities continue to make a lasting difference—one step at a time.
