Call for Submissions: ICFF & Lavazza IncluCity 2026 Festival
Deadline April 2, 2026
Toronto
Filmmakers worldwide are invited to submit their work for consideration at the 2026 edition of the ICFF & Lavazza IncluCity Festival, set to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026 in Toronto’s Distillery District and additional locations, including Vaughan, Montréal, and online. This call encourages creators to share films that reflect diverse experiences and artistic visions on an international stage.
Submissions must be made through the festival’s official platform on Film Freeway; entries sent through other channels won’t be accepted. The deadline for regular submissions is April 2, 2026, with a late deadline of April 24, 2026 for entries submitted after the initial window.
Celebrating Diversity Through Film
Organized by the Italian Contemporary Film Festival, the Lavazza IncluCity Festival is a key cultural program that highlights inclusivity and multicultural storytelling through cinema. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit works that resonate with diverse audiences and contribute to a richer global conversation. The outdoor screenings in the Distillery District create an immersive, open-air environment where audiences can engage with compelling films from around the world.
The festival will consider submissions in two primary categories: International Feature Films and International & Italian Short Films. Feature films must be at least 80 minutes long, while short films should not exceed 12 minutes in length. These guidelines help maintain a vibrant mix of storytelling formats for the 2026 lineup.
Awards and Recognition
Selected films will compete for several awards during the festival. Feature entries will be eligible for a People’s Choice Award, determined by audience votes during the event, and a Critics’ Award, chosen by a jury from the Toronto Film Critics Association. Short films will also be evaluated by a jury of Canadian artists, with the Best Short Film Award accompanied by a $1,000 prize.

The ICFF & Lavazza IncluCity Festival has become a vibrant platform for international cinema and cultural exchange.
