On Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026, the historic village will be dressed in its autumn best for the Fall Festival, a family-friendly celebration that brings the sights, sounds, flavours and traditions of 19th-century rural life to life.
Located at 1000 Murray Ross Parkway in Toronto, The Village at Black Creek provides an atmospheric setting for an autumn outing. Visitors can wander through the living 1800s village, explore heritage buildings, encounter costumed educators and experience the warmth and traditions of a harvest celebration.
The 2026 Fall Festival is all about getting hands-on with the traditions of the harvest season. Families can explore the village at their own pace while taking part in crafts, games, heritage skills and seasonal activities. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the historic streets and buildings while enjoying the special programming.
Music, Games and Hands-On Activities
Live folk music will provide a lively soundtrack to the weekend, with performances taking place in one of the village’s historic buildings.
Visitors can also test their knowledge at an old-fashioned spelling bee before trying their hand at a quilting bee. Three craft stations will give guests the opportunity to create their own fall-themed projects to take home.
For those interested in traditional skills, heritage buildings throughout the village will offer opportunities to try activities including weaving, butter churning, dancing and leather stitching. These hands-on experiences offer a glimpse into the practical skills and everyday activities that were once part of rural life.
Taste the Flavours of Fall
Food is an important part of the harvest celebration, and visitors can sample traditional autumn flavours at five food stations throughout the Village until 3:30 p.m.
Seasonal favourites include warm cider, apple butter and kettle-cooked chips, while additional baked goods will be available for purchase at the Halfway House. The Snack Shack in the Pavilion also offers additional food options for hungry visitors.
Judge the Harvest
The Fall Festival also brings a little friendly competition to the Village with the Blue Ribbon Competition.
Visitors can judge freshly picked produce and see how their favourites compare, recreating the spirit of traditional agricultural fairs and community harvest celebrations.
A Family-Friendly Autumn Outing
The Fall Festival offers a unique combination of entertainment, education and seasonal fun. Families can explore the historic village, enjoy live music, make fall crafts and learn traditional skills while surrounded by gardens, farm animals and heritage buildings.

The festival runs rain or shine. Visitors should dress appropriately for fall weather. If conditions become unsuitable, outdoor activity stations will be moved indoors. On-site paid parking is available.
