Robin Hood: A Very Merry Family Musical

Robin Hood: A Very Merry Family Musical

November 26, 2025 – January 4, 2026
The Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre

Robin Hood: A Very Merry Family Musical is the spirited holiday pantomime presented by Canadian Stage in association with the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatres. Written by veteran panto scribe Matt Murray and directed by Mary Francis Moore, the production reintroduces the legendary outlaw tale with a modern twist: Robin is now a savvy heroine leading a merry band of misfits in a quest for justice, kindness, and plenty of laughs.

Set amidst the lush, imagined forests of “Torontoshire” (with a nod to High Park), the show serves up a joyful blend of slapstick, pop songs, intergenerational fun, contemporary choreography, and plenty of audience participation—true to the British pantomime tradition. Critics and press have warmly received the production, praising its “sharp satire,” “dazzling musical numbers,” and the uproarious festive spirit it brings to the city.

The show is recommended for audiences ages 3 and up; note that infants and toddlers under 2 will not be admitted. As with all panto tradition, Rogers Petty’s legacy continues—not as producer but as executive producer emeritus—marking the revival of this beloved holiday theatre form under the remit of Canadian Stage.

Recommended for ages 3+. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. The Panto is family fun for nearly everyone  – Infants and toddlers under 2 years of age will not be admitted.
