The Air Force 100 Weekend celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). It will be held on July 6-7, 2024, at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario. This event promises to be a significant gathering, showcasing over 50 military aircraft from World War II to the present day.

Key Features of the Air Force 100 Weekend:

Aircraft Displays:
  • Attendees will have the chance to see a wide range of RCAF aircraft up close, such as the CF-18 Demo Team, P-51D Mustang, and possibly the CP-140 Aurora, CC-130 Hercules, and CH-147 Chinook, among others. This includes both vintage planes from the museum’s collection and modern aircraft currently in service with the RCAF.
  • Notable aircraft on display will include the iconic Avro Lancaster, which will be open for tours, and various operational aircraft such as the CF-18 Hornet.
Interactive Experiences:
  • Visitors can meet and interact with current RCAF members, learning about their roles and the various missions they undertake.
  • The event will provide educational opportunities about the history and evolution of Canada’s air force over the past century.
Special Exhibits and Activities:
  • The event will include special exhibits highlighting the RCAF’s history, achievements, and technological advancements.
