Hugh’s Room Live Sets the Stage for a Packed Fall 2026 Season

Hugh’s Room Live, 296 Broadview Avenue, Toronto

Toronto’s fall entertainment calendar is filling up, and Hugh’s Room Live is preparing for a busy season of concerts, special presentations and musical discoveries.

From September through December, the Broadview Avenue venue will welcome an eclectic mix of performers spanning folk, blues, jazz, rock, roots and contemporary music. The schedule combines familiar names with emerging talent and special events, giving Toronto audiences plenty of reasons to experience live music in a more intimate setting.

September Brings a Diverse Lineup

The fall season gets underway with Carole Pope on September 11, 2026, followed by a busy month of performances.

Among the September highlights are Harry Manx, Sarah MacDougall, Lisa MacIsaac and Catherine MacLellan. Jazz, folk and roots music also feature prominently throughout the month, reflecting the variety that has long been part of the Hugh’s Room calendar.

One event worth watching is Discoveries Vol. 13 on September 23, 2026. Hosted by Dynesti and @theMusic, the showcase puts emerging performers in the spotlight while moving through neo-soul, conscious hip-hop, R&B, folk and alternative soul.

For Toronto music fans interested in hearing new artists before they reach larger stages, the evening offers something different from a traditional headline concert.

October Mixes Live Music With Canadian Stories

The calendar remains busy in October with performances by Jason Wilson, Tony McManus, The Hogtown Allstars and other artists.

A particularly notable presentation arrives on October 28, 2026, with Africville Stories.

Featuring Joe Sealy and Jackie Richardson, the production draws upon Sealy’s Africville Suite and uses music and storytelling to explore the history and legacy of Africville, the historic Black community in Halifax.

On October 30, 2026, The Irish Descendants turn their attention to another Canadian musical legacy with a tribute to Stan Rogers.

Fall Performances Continue Into November

November brings another varied collection of performances.

Singer-songwriter and flutist Allison Lupton takes the stage on November 5, 2026, while East Coast singer-songwriter Lennie Gallant arrives on November 26, 2026, with The Innkeeper’s Christmas. The seasonal production combines original music, stories and visual elements.

Programming continues into December, extending the venue’s fall season towards the holidays.

An Intimate Alternative on Toronto’s Concert Calendar

While Toronto’s arenas and stadiums attract many of the year’s biggest tours, smaller venues provide a different live music experience.

Hugh’s Room Live offers audiences an opportunity to hear performers in a setting where the music remains the focus. Its fall schedule also creates space for emerging artists, musical storytelling and performances that may not fit naturally onto larger stages.
