BurlOak Theatre Announces Inspiring 2026–2027 Season at Oakville Centre

BurlOak Theatre has officially announced its 2026–2027 season, offering audiences another year of outstanding community theatre at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. The upcoming programme features an exciting blend of contemporary musicals, classic comedy and an inspiring true story. As a result, the season promises something for every theatre enthusiast.

For nearly 50 years, BurlOak Theatre has been a cornerstone of the local arts community. The company is well known for producing high-quality performances while showcasing talented performers, musicians and volunteers from across the region. A Season Filled with Variety

The 2026–2027 season opens with Mean Girls The Musical, running from September 24 to 27, 2026. Based on the popular film written by Tina Fey, the musical follows teenager Cady Heron as she navigates the complicated social hierarchy of high school. Featuring energetic choreography, memorable songs and plenty of humour, the production offers a fresh take on a modern classic.

Next, audiences can enjoy Plaza Suite, presented from January 21 to 24, 2027. Written by celebrated playwright Neil Simon, this timeless comedy unfolds inside the famous Plaza Hotel in New York City. Three different stories take place in the same suite, creating a series of hilarious and heartfelt moments. The play remains one of Simon’s most enduring and beloved works.

The season concludes with Come From Away, from April 15 to 18, 2027. The award-winning Canadian musical tells the remarkable true story of the residents of Gander, Newfoundland, who welcomed thousands of stranded airline passengers following the events of September 11, 2001. Filled with uplifting music and genuine emotion, the production celebrates compassion, resilience and the power of community.
