The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (GOCF) is set to make its highly anticipated Mississauga debut this September 11–13 at scenic Erindale Park, presented in partnership with Visit Mississauga. Marking its first weekend in the city, the open-air comedy celebration promises three days of top-tier talent, big laughs, and vibrant community spirit in one of the GTA’s most picturesque settings.

A Powerhouse Opening Night

The festival launches on Friday, September 11, with headliner John Mulaney, whose razor-sharp storytelling and polished delivery have earned him international acclaim. Joining him for the opening night are an equally formidable trio: Nick Kroll, Mike Birbiglia, and Fred Armisen. Together, the line-up sets the tone for a weekend that blends established favourites with fearless comedic voices.

Saturday Laughs, Afternoon to Evening

Saturday, September 12 begins with an afternoon showcase led by Adam Ray performing his wildly popular “Dr. Phil Live” character. The quick-witted set is joined by the unapologetically bold Ms. Pat and the high-energy T.J. Miller, delivering a dynamic mix of styles and perspectives.

The Saturday evening programme remains under wraps for now, with additional announcements expected soon — adding an extra layer of anticipation to an already stacked weekend.

A Sunday Showcase of Sharp Perspectives

Sunday, September 13 offers two distinct shows. The afternoon features a co-headlining set from Matt Mathews and Jordan Jensen, with an opening performance by Katherine Blanford. Expect refreshingly candid humour and quick-fire punchlines.

Closing out the festival on Sunday evening are co-headliners Hasan Minhaj and Ronny Chieng — a pairing known for incisive cultural commentary and biting satire. They are joined by Michael Kosta, rounding out a finale designed to leave audiences buzzing.

Expanding Across North America

Mississauga joins a growing roster of GOCF host cities, including Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Calgary, Vancouver, and Spokane, Washington. Each destination brings its own character to the festival, and the addition of Mississauga signals the festival’s continued cross-country and cross-border momentum.

Beyond the stage, Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is committed to community impact. Through the Great Outdoors Community Fund, the festival supports local initiatives centred on Arts & Culture, Mental Health, and Sustainability. By investing in the communities it visits, the festival ensures that its legacy extends far beyond a weekend of laughter.

With its blend of marquee talent, open-air atmosphere, and community-driven purpose, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival’s inaugural Mississauga edition is poised to become a standout cultural moment this autumn.
