Held throughout the season in the Museum’s striking atrium spaces, the programme offers audiences an opportunity to experience free performances spanning music, dance and multidisciplinary art forms in an intimate and welcoming setting.
Designed to celebrate creativity and cultural exchange, the TD Pop-Up Performances series has become a favourite among museum visitors and Toronto arts audiences alike. The performances reflect the Museum’s broader mission of fostering dialogue through artistic expression while spotlighting emerging and established performers from diverse backgrounds.
Free Performances Throughout the Week

Each week introduces new performers and artistic styles, ensuring that no two visits are exactly alike. Guests can expect a rotating line-up of musicians, dancers, spoken word artists and interdisciplinary performers whose work reflects both contemporary and traditional influences from around the world.
A Celebration of Artistic Diversity
The TD Pop-Up Performances series reflects the AGA Khan Museum’s commitment to presenting diverse artistic voices and fostering cultural understanding through the arts. The Museum is internationally recognized for showcasing exhibitions, performances and educational programming inspired by the artistic and intellectual traditions of Muslim cultures and connected communities.
The relaxed and accessible format of the performances encourages spontaneous discovery. Visitors may encounter live music while touring galleries, enjoying the café or spending time in the Museum’s architectural spaces and landscaped grounds.
In addition to providing entertainment, the performances help strengthen Toronto’s cultural landscape by supporting artists and creating opportunities for audiences to engage with live arts experiences in a casual environment.
