Join the Town of Newmarket on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, for the annual Tim Hortons Canada Day celebration—an exciting day filled with free, family-friendly entertainment and patriotic pride. The festivities take place across two iconic Newmarket locations: Riverwalk Commons and George Richardson Park.

Daytime Concert & Festival

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., head to Riverwalk Commons (200 Doug Duncan Drive) for a lively outdoor festival in the heart of Newmarket. This daytime event features live musical performances by talented local artists and bands, alongside roaming entertainers and family-friendly activities. Kids will love the crafts, face painting, and train rides, while parents can explore the vendor market and sample tasty treats from a wide variety of food trucks. The festival atmosphere will be enhanced by a strong sense of community pride and inclusivity, with interactive booths hosted by local organizations.

Attendees can also enter the popular Coffee for a Year contest sponsored by Tim Hortons, with a chance to win one of ten $100 gift cards. Contest details and ballots will be available on-site during the daytime celebration for Newmarket residents aged 18 and up.

Evening Concert & Fireworks

The celebration continues from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at George Richardson Park (Bayview Parkway), where crowds will gather for a spectacular evening of live music and fireworks. The open-air concert at the Main and Busker Stage features high-energy performances sure to get everyone dancing before the grand finale—an unforgettable fireworks show that will light up the Newmarket sky in celebration of Canada’s birthday.
