Canadian Entertainer Patti Jannetta to Be Honoured at Living Arts Centre

Celebrated singer-composer, actor and creator Patti Jannetta will be honoured in a special concert performance on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Living Arts Centre in Isn’t She Lovely,  a concert celebrating Women in Music.

Featured performers include Jazz Saxophonist/Vocalist Elena KapelerisCarla Gonzalez-Casanova and Heather Christine. Celebrated master musicians Bill KingMark Kelso and Pat Collins will join the cast as the house band for an exciting evening of Pop, Jazz, Latin and R&B.

Patti’s artistic journey began as a teen actress in the LA/Vegas production of Jesus Christ Superstar across the hall from Elvis and Gladys Knight. A gifted JUNO nominated entertainer, Patti has toured with music icons Ronnie Hawkins and Bo Diddley.  Patti has won numerous awards including a Queens Golden Jubilee Medal, Laurie Pallett Patron of the Arts, Brilliant-Minded Woman Award and the International Woman of Inspiration Award. In 2020 she was the recipient of a granite star on the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame and in 2022 Patti was inducted into Mississauga’s Legends Row, Walk of Fame.

“Patti Jannetta has had a profound impact on artists and audiences here in Mississauga and beyond,” explains Heather Christine, Creator and Producer of Isn’t She Lovely. “So many of our lives have been touched by this inspiring woman of the arts. She has been an important role model and guiding figure for a generation of vocalists in our city. She is someone who is always giving back and encouraging young artists. We are looking so forward to this special evening where we will celebrate her unique contributions to the arts in Canada and her creative life so far!”

In addition to her work as a vocalist, Patti Jannetta is a founding Director of award-winning festivals including the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, SING! Toronto Vocal Arts Festival, Mississauga Music Walk of Fame and  Mississauga Italfest. She is an avid community and arts supporter and she passionately mentors emerging artists.

Powerhouse Canadian Pianist and Producer Bill King will round out the evening as Musical Director paying tribute to his mentor, Oscar Peterson. A musical master in his own right, Bill Kill has directed for such luminaries including Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Martha Reeves, The Pointer Sisters, and more.
