Spicing things up this summer, Harbourfront Centre presents the Hot & Spicy: India, bringing diverse artistic, culinary and cultural vibrancy to Toronto. Happening over the Labour Day long weekend, the lineup of free and ticketed events will honour the country’s 75 years of independence and feature musical performances from award-winning artists, live comedy specials quintessential culinary delights, from aromatic curries to sizzling street food, with every event hosted across Harbourfront Centre’s iconic lakeside venues.

Tickets are now on sale for Padma Shri awardee Kailash Kher, backed by his Indian fusion band Kailasa, who takes traditional Indian music and Sufi and mixes it with the modern influences of rock, funk and electronica. Stand-up comic and YouTube superstar Abish Mathew comes to Harbourfront Centre with his hilarious take on clean comedy – his first stop on his Canadian tour. Best known for his popular talk show, Son of Abish and Amazon Prime special Whoop, Mathew, who has performed thousands of shows worldwide, is bringing some serious laughs to Hot & Spicy: India.
