Toronto pays tribute to the men and women who fought for Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917 at Fort York National Historic Site with a FREE weekend of Great War exhibits and events from April 8 to April 9. On Saturday April 8, experience the sights and sounds of First World War Canadian soldiering Canadian soldiering through fascinating re-enactor displays of infantry, artillery, cavalry, medicine, music and food. On Sunday April 9 attend a moving military remembrance parade at 2 pm by the Canadian Armed Forces which includes the dedication of a Vimy oak tree to the City of Toronto at Fort York National Historic Site.
