Canada’s rising star Francesco Yates and Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider set to hit the stage at The Distillery Historic District, November 20 to December 20
Under a spectacular canopy of swooning lights, the cobblestone streets of The Distillery Historic District will enchant visitors with the sights, sounds and smells of the holidays, during the sixth annual Toronto Christmas Market, November 20 to December 20. Organizers of the event announced today a back-to-back lineup of over 320 performances that will take to the Market’s main stage over the 28 days of holiday magic.
Along with traditional carolers, choirs, brass bands and dance groups, the Toronto Christmas Market will welcome headlining performers Francesco Yates, Dee Snider with special guest Taylor Dayne, and The Next Generation Leahy to the main stage this year, along with many more.
“It is our goal to provide Torontonians and visitors to our city with the best and most magical experience possible,” said Mathew Rosenblatt, Executive Producer of the Toronto Christmas Market. “We want our visitors to sing and dance along to non-stop entertainment, and experience new and exciting elements of the festival each year. With the additional week of the Market, there will be a variety of performances that will appeal to each and every visitor.”
Canada’s Breakout Star Francesco Yates will headline the opening night of the festival on Friday, November 20 at 6 p.m. as part of the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Pharrell-endorsed singer’s mix of pop and R&B with his soulful lyrics is the perfect complement to the festival’s romantic atmosphere. His self-titled debut EP is available now and features the hits “Better to Be Loved” and “Call.” Francesco Yates will also be joining Carly Rae Jepsen on Hedley’s Cross Canada #HELLOWORLD Tour in the Spring of 2016.
The energetic fiddling of The Next Generation Leahy will return to the festival for the second consecutive year. Sure to enamour guests with their musical talents, the fan favourite returns to the main stage on Saturday, November 21 with their high-spirited stage performance rooted in tradition. Guests will have three opportunities to see The Next Generation Leahy perform at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
