The 39th annual Cabbagetown Festival will highlight live outdoor music and entertainment on Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13. The festival officially begins Saturday at 11 a.m. with a special Opening Ceremony to follow at 2 p.m. outside the TD bank (on the northeast corner of Parliament Street and Carlton Street) and will remain open until 10 p.m. The fun continues Sunday at 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Check www.cabbagetownto.com for full details and other community events.
Over the two days, the streets will close down to showcase what the community has to offer. Pedestrians will enjoy delicious food from local restaurants, one-of-a-kind artisan vendors, Blair’s Run, a Children’s Fun Zone, a free morning of pancakes, Highway 11 Cruisers car club, Nick’s Family Buskers, Silver Elvis, clown Mighty Mike, a Doggy Photo Booth and more!
This year’s line-up of musical performers will include the sounds of jazz, R&B, funk, Big Band and Latin music. With over 30 bands performing at 13 participating venues along Parliament Street, the weekend promises to bring an eclectic mix of artists sure to satisfy everyone’s musical tastes.

A special place just for kids – to have fun and express their creativity, returns to Parliament Street and Gerrard Street after its successful inaugural year. A children’s fun zone is presented by Astro Amusements, “The finest in midway entertainment for festivals, fairs and street parties!”

Welcome all genres of vehicles from classics to modern, tuners and euro no matter. Mitch Markowitz, the co-creator and cast member of the classic and comically creepy kid’s 1971 television program The Hilarious House of Frightenstein, will be on site. Mitch is regularly seen at our events posing for pictures and offering autographs to the number of fans of the ever-popular show that come out to meet him.

The 36th Annual Blair’s Run

Registration: begins at 8 a.m.
Race time: 9 a.m.
Join us for the annual mini-marathon that has been part of the Cabbagetown Festival in support of the Cabbagetown Youth Centre for 35 years. It is a 2 km jog or walk around the neighborhood that welcomes runners ages two to 70+ from local streets and all over the GTA. The Awards and prize give-away will follow at the finish line.
