Toronto fans of indie film and music will get another chance to watch their favourite stars under the stars, as the Open Roof Festival (ORF) returns for its sixth season, running weekly from June 17 through to August 19.
The sixth night of this year’s Festival continues with Toronto band Hooded Fang. The four-piece band will bring their fast, unrelenting tunes to the ORF stage. The film of the night will be Canadian Non Romantic Comedy, Pretend We’re Kissing, directed by Matt Sadowski. This film follows a whirlwind weekend romance between Benny and Jordan. Proudly set in Toronto, the script is full of wit, whimsy and pathos, sometimes embarrassingly funny one minute, achingly sad the next. This is a story about how even a brief fling can change us.
This year, our on-site caterer, Aura by Cashew & Clive, will present a unique, accompanying menu each week — the perfect pairing for a refreshing beer from ORF’s long-standing partner Amsterdam Brewery.
